Whitman has two broad overlapping functional areas—Exhaust Related Components and Tubular Products. The core of the operation is defined by OEM off road small equipment manufacturers. Specifically, the commercial turf market accounts for 70% of our current customers, including both the tubular and exhaust related components.
We produce tubular products, such as Roll Over Protective Systems (ROPS) and Operator Protective Systems (OPS). We also produce frame tubes and steering levers for both residential and commercial mowers.
Our tubular products have been developed to provide customers with unique solutions to custom fabrication problems. ROPS (roll over protection system) and OPS (operator protective system) are the foundation of Whitman’s tubular products. Both the ROPS and OPS are designed and manufactured in house, and have third party certification off site (at customer request).
We also manufacture Grab Handles, Steering Levers and Radiator Tubes for “Off Road” Vehicles. Radiator Tubes are made of steel tubing and are pierced, bended and welded before completion. Many parts are powder coated, and are currently sourced through a sub-contractor.
Our newest tubular product is custom tubular, and is used in the advertising and medical industries. These products include floor standing displays, kiosks, and side frames.
